Alimo Studio Notes #45 [ Art Drop 01 + Greenroom Festival Announcement + Frog Lake 💔]
New 48-hour original drops next week, Greenroom Festival 2026, and a reflective week 😶🌫️.
Hey friends, Happy Friday
This has been a tough week for me mentally. A lot of good (art-wise) and a lot of bad (personal side). To start off, the headache I had all last week kept on pushing through to just yesterday. This was a two-week brain fog, and I actually thought some really bad things were going down. I got bloodwork done and a CT scan. Still doctors didn’t know what was happening. Very scary for me. That being said, the blood and brain are all healthy. The only diagnosis that I got was post-viral syndrome. I got sick in Japan in early January, was healthy for weeks after that, then I guess it caught up to me afterI stopped snowboarding. I basically had brain fog and a crazy headache for two weeks. I couldn’t really think or remember anything. I’m glad this has started to wear off, and I’m thinking normal again. The past few days, I’ve actually gotten some things done. Thank you human body.
On top of that mess, a tragic accident happened in Frog Lake, Tahoe on Tuesday. An avalanche took out 15 skiers, killing 8 of them 💔 It’s been a tough week for me watching this on the sidelines as I have a lot of friends involved in this. On top of these losses, it hits extra hard as I’ve spent time in this exact zone where the accident happened. This is where I got all my training in the backcountry. It’s so sad and could happen to any of us, storm or not. It’s hard to express these feelings, as it’s painful seeing this go down. I’m thinking of you all 🫂❤️
Pushing through on all of this, I got a ton done this week. I had some great kick-off meetings with some commercial clients, prepping my fire monthly art drop, and my next art show was announced. I also finished up the t-shirt design for the show and got back some crazy cool samples for a partnership drop that will release in the Fall.
Let’s dive into it!

We’ll be kicking off our first monthly drop on Feb 28th at 8 am ET. These paintings will be available for 48 hours only.
These are exploration paintings I do each morning. Similar to my sketchbook, but in a larger format. I like to think of these as in-between moments from my sketchbook to canvas. They are organic, free-flowing, and incredibly fun to get ideas out onto paper.

Meetings and future thinking
A lot of fun opportunities on the horizon. I’m really thankful nothing crazy was going on in my brain as I went down that rabbit trail of all bad things. Still not 100% but can actually think, I’d say 80% brain confidence right now, which is a huge win!
Have a wonderful week. Call your friends and family, tell them you love them. This week has been full of these moments.
